One-day trip idea – Bear sanctuary near Tbilisi

Close to the magical Sabaduri Forest, in the village of Tskhvarichamia (Mtskheta region), there is a zoological center where you can see and feed bears, wolves, and dogs. The sanctuary is located in a picturesque place near the forest, at an altitude of 1100 meters above sea level. Its area is 5000 m2. In 2010, actor Soso Jikurishvili opened it to support the bear population in Georgia. Bears of different ages undergo rehabilitation at the facility so they can later return to the wild. Anyone interested can come, watch them, and support the charity project. Visiting is free From 10 AM to 6 PM every day.
